Sally Hudson

Sally Hudson is the founder and executive director of Ranked Choice Virginia, a Charlottesville-based nonprofit venture that provides technical assistance and voter education to communities adopting ranked choice voting. Hudson is a former Virginia state delegate who served two terms in the General Assembly representing Charlottesville and Albemarle and authored the legislation that now allows Virginia cities and counties to conduct elections using ranked choice voting.
Prior to her legislative service, Hudson started her career on the faculty at the University of Virginia as an assistant professor of public policy and economics. She earned her Ph.D. in economics as a National Science Foundation fellow at MIT and completed her bachelor's degree at Stanford University.
